Lake Wanaka SouNZ Inc started up in 1997 to promote and support quality NZ music. Since then it has staged 10 Rippon Festivals, a Red & Black Canterbury Quake Relief Concert, Cabaret on Ruby Island, two TUKI Festivals, and dozens of Sounz Forza music-training workshops.

YAMI came into existence when members of LWSI realised through their roles in festival management and music education, that there was a wealth of knowledge and information about forging a musical career that was not filtering down effectively to where it was needed most.

The summit is put on by an inspiring group of volunteers and interns. Tutors offer their unbelievable wealth of knowledge at no cost, because they want to see the Creative Industries thrive.

YAMI brings together the pioneers of the music industry keen to share their knowledge with you, to make your musical journey even more fun and more successful.

LWSI is totally not-for profit and has gifted over $125 000 to music education, youth and the environment since 2000.
